About AJK Mirpur Board : The BISE AJK board is known as Azad Jammu and Kashmir Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. It was established in 1973 during an Ordinance promulgated by the Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir. Previous to, Azad Kashmir was included in the territorial jurisdiction of the Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The first assessment of the AJK board was conducted by this AJK Board in 1974, wherein 6161 candidates of SSC and HSSC appeared. As well as, the scope of its activities steadily increased. In addition, lots of candidates appeared in various examinations, rules and regulations of Lahore Board have been adopted on the principle of parity with Punjab.
